Tigers (Panthera tigris) are the largest living cat species, native to various habitats across Asia. They are renowned for their distinctive orange-brown fur with black stripes. Several subspecies exist, including the Sumatran Tiger, Bengal Tiger, and Siberian Tiger, each adapted to different environments. Tigers are solitary apex predators, primarily hunting large ungulates such as deer and wild boar. They can weigh up to 300 kg (660 lbs). All tiger subspecies are endangered due to poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict.
