The wild goat (Capra aegagrus) is a species of goat native to forests, mountainous terrain, and semi-desert areas of Europe and Asia. It is believed to be the ancestor of the domestic goat. Wild goats are agile and hardy, with males possessing large, scimitar-shaped horns that curve backward. They typically weigh between 25-95 kg (55-210 lbs).
